District Account

• • Provides a District Directory with everyone’s email addresses, their role in Scouting and any personal details (like mobile number) that they choose to share.

  • Provides access to Shared Contacts (like the email / phone of the HQ safeguarding team) so that you always have access to them.

It's more than just your own diary!

• We publish the District Diary with the dates / times of all District Events

• It's used to check availability (and manage bookings) at Roland Philipps Scout Centre:
  Kimpton Hall & Climbing wall | The Chapel | Archery Range

You can do all sorts with it...

• • Save it to your phone, tablet or computer, or share it with the rest of your Group.

  • Synchronise it with your OSM Programme so that it all appears in there.

  • Set up shared section / team / leaders calendars, 

... the possibilities here are huge.

Somewhere to store / share all of your Scouting files.

• • We have 100TB of shared storage for the whole District to use

  • We use Shared Drives for Scout Groups, District Teams, etc… to share all of our files with each other (meaning that we're not waiting for Robert to send us that document before we can carry on...)

When you create new files in Google Drive there’s the option to use a range of Scouting templates with the Scout branding, colours, etc… set up ready for you.

Templates include:

• • Formal Letterheads,

  • Partnership Agreements,

  • Risk Assessments,

  • First Aid Incident books [Forms],

  • Chief Scout Award Certificates

If something's useful for everyone then please submit it to the template gallery!

We use it to manage both individual Group and our District websites...

Sites can be given a "vanity plate" like 2nd.eastlondonscouts.org.uk
(instead of the really long URL they give you when you first set them up)

Or if you purchase a domain, you can use your own URL:
www.1stStepneyScouts.org.uk
(and also use this for the email address of your District Account!)
